The national conference takes a lot of support. We’d love to have you join us as a volunteer.
We’re looking for volunteers in these areas:
- Greeter/hospitality
- A greeter is a key volunteer at the CCCA national conference. He/she is responsible for welcoming attendees and helping them navigate the hotel property.
We are grateful for the support of greeters as they play an important role in the attendee experience at conference. If you are interested in volunteering as a greeter, please indicate this on your conference registration or contact Emily Hughes, ehughes@ccca.org, if you have already registered for this year’s conference.

- Seminar moderator
- A seminar moderator is a key volunteer at the CCCA national conference. He/she is responsible for enabling the seminar presenter to teach and interact in a comfortable and organized environment in which participants will have maximum learning potential. We assign each moderator 5-6 seminars that last 60-90 minutes each.
The moderator serves as the host in the seminar room responsible for the overall seminar experience. The presenter will depend on the moderator to relay or take care of needs that he/she may have throughout the seminar. The moderator will communicate any last minute presenter requests or room needs to CCCA staff. The moderator greets attendees at the door and hands out any session handouts and makes sure everyone feels welcome. They ensure the seminar begins on time with an introduction of the presenter and brief announcements. Once the seminar begins, they may assist in facilitating any Q&A time or discussions and ensure the seminar ends on time with a thanks to our presenter. They will then collect seminar evaluations and reset the room.
We are grateful for the support of seminar moderators as they play a crucial role in the smooth facilitation of seminars at conference. If you are interested in volunteering as a seminar moderator, please indicate this on your conference registration or contact Emily Barnes, ebarnes@ccca.org, if you have already registered for this year’s conference.
